Nové Hrady landscape
Nové Hrady - Horní stropnice - Dobrá Voda / Diploma thesis in the studio of prof. Ing. arch. Jan Bočan
By connection of a historical town, valley with an English landscape garden, an old village with a Romanesque church and a pilgrimage spa resort at a mountainside, a compact system of paths was created, ideal for walking and accompanied by artistic elements, objects and apertures that arrange the walked-through landscape into an abstract geometrical plan. By its current style, this newly formed complex follows centuries of cultivation of this landscape by the Buquoys, a noble family, and enforces the specific atmosphere of these premises. The project won 3rd price in the show of diploma projects organised by the Czech Chamber of Architects in 2006.
